Welcome to this exciting variation on a traditional card game. Kings Corner is usually a multiplayer card game. Here is has been turned into a single player game.
WARNING: Kings Corner Solitaire is seriously addictive, and can cause you to lose all sense of time, but it’s probably worth it!
INSTRUCTIONS: You are faced with a grid of 16 spaces for cards to go on, with the outer ring of 12 for picture cards. Take the top card from the deck - if it’s a picture card it must go onto a designated space for a jack, queen or king; if it’s not a picture card, it can go anywhere.
When all the spaces are full you start removing cards from the spaces: first remove any 10s and then any combination of two cards that add up to 10, such as 2 + 8. When all possible combinations are removed, resume taking cards from the deck until all the spaces are full again. Then remove the cards in multiples of 10. Keep repeating this until the deck is empty.
The game is automatically over if, when drawing a picture card, there is no space available for it or if there are no more moves available.
The game is scored against the clock so you can compare your current performance with previous plays or with other players.
